Two-way trade between Canada and Switzerland is solid, amounting to $2.31 billion (2004), with the balance in favour of Switzerland. The mix of Canadian exports to Switzerland has shifted from commodities to more of a combination of high value-added finished goods such as: aircraft, machinery, pharmaceuticals, precision instruments, telecommunications equipment, and food products. Quebec (36.9%) and Ontario (35.4%) account for most exports to Switzerland, followed by Newfoundland (9.8%), British Columbia (6.3%) and Alberta (6.2%). Canadian imports from Switzerland include machine tools, organic chemicals, pharmaceuticals, high quality plastics, automobile accessories, laboratory equipment, watches and cheese. Most of these imports go to Ontario (67.9%) and Quebec (21.7%). Our investment relations are robust. Switzerland is the 6th largest foreign investor in Canada with an estimated total cumulative investment of $8.1 billion (2004). Major Swiss investors in Canada include: Nestle, Novartis, Roche, and ABB. Cumulative Canadian direct investment in Switzerland was estimated at $4.7 billion (2004). well switzerland and canada dont have a trade specfic relationship where canada is importing/exporting something only its country can provide to swizt. and visa versa. unlike the middle east and japan where japan relies on the oil prodvided because they do no have natural acess to oil. so generally speaking swizterland and canada do not have any specific things they trade , that i can think of. i think of what they do trade is listed in another answer, in addition to there trademarks products of chocolate from switzerland and maple syrup from canada
