It is VERY competitive. Once you enroll into the program you better be the best student ever and start building connections network with people in the field. It is hard to say what your chances are. Just remember that there are only so many people who can work in the coroner's office. So study hard, become a TA, do internships, and hopefully eventually you'll end up with the desired position.
