RECENT ANTHRO GRADUATE: How to find a job?

• I recently graduated with a BA in Anthropology and Biology from McGill University, I took a few months off to go volunteer, now Im ready to start a career... its been a few months and I still can't find ANY jobs I am qualified for or are relevant to what I want to do! It seems every job requires many years of experience, a strong background in business admin/marketing etc, or requires engineering, or a technical degree, or is something i dont want to do like sales/customer service. Its obvious my current degree is not enough, and i am applying now to do a graduate certificate in business admin starting in the fall, and i've missed the deadline but next year i will apply for a graduate diploma in communications and public relations (includes media course in graphic design). but i need a job NOW i need money, i need experience! and im so bored, everyone is constantly on my back about it, my mom even kicked me out of the house because she thinks im lazy (so much to moving back home to save money and reconcile with my insane mother), but i really am trying!!! I speak fluent French and English and decent Spanish. I know MS office, access, photoshop, illustrator etc. I've worked alot in customer service, including as an operations manager, ive worked in archives, reception, and for the goverment, also as a photographer. maybe not the best resume, but i excelled at all those jobs and gained transferable skills. i've volunteered in a developing country. Im well travelled, well rounded. Im a fast learner, i take initiative, i take pride in my work, im pretty and have a good attitude, im smart, curious, very creative, im good at math, im a great communicator... why am i still unemployed, I guess i dont have enough serious experience, but how do i get experience when i dont qualify for anything beyond waitressing apparently. im starting to feel like such a failure... Ideally, I want to work where I can use my knoweldge of human behaviour/science, be creative, make an impact and/or working within somesort of international/global scope, public policy, public outreach, sustainability, natural ressource industry, healthcare, etc. It doesn't need to be all those things, just 2 or 3. Nothing seems to fit! And since its so general, i dont know what companies/jobs to target, and it seems the government isnt hiring anyone at entry-level.... I've sent my CV to a million places, and i know its a good CV because I had it reviewed by 3 different CAREER COUNSELLORS. (whose advice by the way is "with your degree you can do anything!!" total BS). I also had several mock interviews and was told i gave great answers and appeared professional, positive, determined and confident. And i dress very well. What can I do to get a job???!!!

  One of the main jobs you can get with an anthropology degree is as a cultural specialists. There is a great demand for people who can specialise in Firtst Nation/Indigenous community relations in addition to people who can assist in traditional landuse assessments. Pretty much before a development (roads, mining, oil and gas etc) can take place within an area consultation with the traditional landowners must take place. THe area must be assessed for its traditional value and then agreements must be made between the First Nation and the client. Also you would facilitate in getting First Nation communities involved in various environmental assessment aspects, such as biological studies etc. I know in Canada there is a shortage of people for these jobs.
