How do u get noticed as a singer?

  • i am 14 and i have a really good voice i right my own songs i have 5 curently and i want to get noticed my friends/family/strangers say i sing great i just dont know how to get noticed

    Usually there is a talent contest at county fairs. There are different age groups. If you win at the county level you can go on to sing at the state fair where there will be lots of people watching. Also, coffee shops and resturants are great places to start doing local performances. I'm a violinist and I've gotten paid to play at local places for Valentine's day. That might help a bit for the local level. You could also try finding a manager and do an audition or make your own single with the songs you have written and send it in as a demo to a recording studio. Also, sing in a school choir and/ or take voice lessons to continue to improve on the great voice you already have. There are many opportunities for getting noticed. Keep an eye open for talent contests or variety shows. Good luck!

If you are very serious, I would suggest getting an agent to represent/"sell" you. Otherwise, I would suggest doing as many public appearances as possible. Try out for school plays, choir - where you might be asked to do a solo, etc. Remember me when you become famous. I'd like front row seats and a back stage pass, please ;-)

I think find someone to get you noticed...(i'm a girl using my brothers e-mail)...my best friends and i r starting a band...and 1 of my best friends' dad's a gosspil singer...he is a great singer and he is going to let us use 1 of his recording studios...(he has 3 anyway...he thought we could borrow 1 4 a while)....and we r going to try out some of or songs...if he likes it my best friends and i get to be featured on his new CD...he's Dell Barkley if u wanna pick up a CD....well....if u need any more info..e-mail me at [email protected]!

Although you have two years to go until you can audition for American Idol, you can start by entering local talent competitions in your town. Ask your parents/ family to be on the look out for possible outlets. If you are as good as you say, then you will be noticed.
