  make the chorus different from the verses, to keep it interesting. you could make the verses quite high pitched, and then have a deep, striding bass line in the chorus. you could do a little prechorus (or bridge) that completely contrasts with the stuff already. use your main 'theme' or hook in your introduction, but not fully. kind of introduce it, but don't go into it very much. to improve left and right hand coordination, try doing a chromatic scale in octaves. Do four octaves of white-note black-note white-note black-note, and then repeat it until your fingers get tired. It will strengthen your fingers as well as help your coordination. you could do scales in thirds too - (i don't know how much you know about music theory so i'll explain it in case) if you start on D with your left hand, and your right hand on F sharp (the two black notes in D are f sharp and C sharp) and then go up the scale in sync.
