Trying to make a duet..?
-
hey, i love music, and i want to make a song, duet, for me and my friend. i will be playing flute and he will play trumpet. i dont have really low notes for him, so im going to write them for him, but i forget how to convert a high low into a very low note, i was wondering if any one knows a sight on what all the scales, and notes are for trumpet so i can maybe do that duet?? please and thank you

Answer:
I'm not sure of a site for you. But because flute is in the key of C and trumpet is in the key of Bb, whatever note you want the trumpet to play you would write it a whole step higher. For example, if you want him to play a Bb you would write a C, if you want a F write a G, if you want a D write an E, etc. Hope that makes sense.
