Need help fixing flute?

I would like to know what i need to fix dents in a flute?

• Hi. im wanting to learn how to fix flutes,and possibly other instruments. im really confused about alot of things.. so i'll start with dents. my flute (gemeinhardt,-all solid silver,-B foot) came in bad condition when i just bought it. (i got it so i could advance) i didn't like the price to fix it at the shop.. so thats what got me interested in fixing flutes. i've learned of this website: http://www.votawtool.com/zcom.asp?pg=products&grp=588&cat=tools and to me,it seems like the mandrel is part of a machine.. otherwise,it's a hand tool? but even if then.. i still don't know what i need to fix dents in the headjoint. i want to know what size(s) of flute pads i need,and what i need to adjust the height. i found this kit: http://www.valentinopads.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=5&idproduct=4259 i thought it would be a great start,because it tells you how to do alot of things. but i thought i could just get the knowledge about what i need..and what i don't. as well as saving on wasting from some stupid kit.. but this is my last option so far. :/ anything.. Anything at all would help or be nice.. i mainly want the dents out of my headjoint and fix my keys. and for the people who will tell me to go get it fixed.. how does That teach me how to fix anything? i was going to call this one lady and ask her if she could teach me how to fix it.(but i don't think she knows everything...) and she Will charge,or just say no.. so please,anything would help.

  You can waste your money on a stupid kit if you want too. Or take it some place where they have already wasted their money to fix it for you.
