How to sing better?

How can i sing better when i have a speech deficiency?

• Hi ok so i have a condition called cp.i'm really not suppose to be able to even talk and walk,much less sing.when i record myself on my camera i sing horrible it sounds like a 5 year old singing!i do take chorus at my school,the teacher says i'm a expressive singer.i got most outstanding pupil in chorus class.when my teacher says"be loud and spit those words out" i do so.i'm a soprano.people say "oh your a good singer" but they don't sound so sure.my friends say i talk like i'm from France or the UK.when i'm American.i feel horrible when i hear my friends singing and they can sing so good,but when i sing i sound like a 5 year old who can't make out words.see in my head i sound normal,but to other people i sound different.so my question is how can i sing better,or change my voice to where i can sound "normal" will do best answer,sorry for grammar.thanks to everyone!

  stick in it , girly . i have the same problem . I talk the same and i have the same condition & im in the same boat as you . God , made you who you are for a reason and you gotta respect that . Trust me , it gets better . Your voice does get better and the more your around people who talk "correctly" you will begin to talk like them . Its human nature . We have something different , that no one else has & you have to treasure it . As crazy as it sounds , but some people might actually like your 'accent.' Guys could find it hot . You never actually know how you talk , recordings mess up your voice and make your voice sound higher & pitcher. Plugging your ears to hear you will just make you sound a lil deeper . If you actually want to sing better , make sure the song you are singing you are connecting with the song & not just singing the lyrics , & listen to the song over & over again , then you can hear how the singer sings it & maybe copy her/his notes & how the say the words. Practice (when you are by yourself) saying words that are hard for you to say . & say them over & over again until you think you got it . Go to a speech therapist . & maybe invest in a singing instructor. Hope everything goes well for you . (:
