How do I get out of doing guitar lessons?

I'm afraid I won't be able to get the guitar lessons I've waited for so long. ?

• My dad is the sole breadwinner of my family, and he only gives a limited amount of his salary to my mom very month. Only with that amount of money, she has to use it to pay my piano lessons and food etc. To add on to it, I still have 2 younger brothers. So it seems that the money is not enough for all 4 of us ): I quit piano 2 months ago, and I'm planning to tell my mom I wish to take on guitar. It think the guitar is the most interesting instrument. However, my mom wants to employ a maid and I'm afraid my dream to take on guitar is gone. our money is now really limited and I'm sad. I'm only 13 so I don't know what to do. Please advise. Please help,thanks :)

  Well, like you I also plan on learning how to play the guitar and I'm also getting a guitar soon.I have learned that there are two different ways of learning how to play:(1) to have a mentor teach you or (2) to teach yourself.When you choose teaching yourself, then you risk teaching yourself the wrong way and having bad habits.For me, I have decide to teach my self how to play, even though I'm risking some things.But I have decided that it is the best way if you plan on saving your money...$ My advice: Since you say that your mother gets a limited amount of your father's salary, you should go with a cheaper way.I think that you should convince you mom to not a get a maid and instead convince her to have you and your brothers clean the house, but don't do it for money.Do it for free (Yeah, I know...TOTAL RIP-OFF!).It will help you save money and your mother won't need to hire a maid (If my suggestion works...).But I do suggest that you stick with the guitar...
