Alto saxophone key sounds an octave too low?
-
I had my alto saxophone for about a month and the g# key(the pearl pinky key for the left hand) has lately been giving me problems. When I play g# with the octave key held, it sounds like the first octave still. I tried changing my embouchure but I doubt it's the problem because I've been playing the same how i've always been playing. I could get it to sound good, but it's really hard now loke it shouldnt be.

Answer:
It's probably a spring (looks like a needle). Go through and make sure all the springs are as they should be, and not loose.
