What does it mean when someone wants you to sing match tone?

I have an audition for a play and they said they wanted me to sing a song in match tone or something like that. But I really don't know what match tone means.
Answer:

they just want to test you to see if you have PERFECT PITCH and/or VOCAL TRAINING. People who are TONE DEAF can not hear a tone and match it vocally.
