How do I find out what vocal range I am in?

Hey..can anyone help me find out what my vocal range is...i would really like to know..?

• ive asked this already but no one answers me ...i dont have a piano to compare my voice to the notes ..i like singing but i feel like my voice is not girly like its suppose to be i feel its deep i dont know if that means i cant sing because i only feel comfortable singing what men sing ..and the songs that women sing i cant sing good which makes me think that i cant sing..how do i know for sure without using a piano..?

  It's nice to see another singer! Here's what I think you should do (and this is a common way), find a way to use a piano. When using the piano, match highest/lowest note you can sing with the piano. Count the octaves between the highest/lowest note. And that's your vocal range! Another way is a tuner. You can try singing a note in the tuner, and if you know how high/low that note is (and what it is), that's as high or low you can do. Good luck!
