What is the best Beginners Accoustic Guitar I can buy my boyfriend for Christmas?

• I would like to buy my boyfriend an Accoustic Guitar for his Christmas, it also marks our one year anniversary so I thought it would be a nice gift as he has always wanted to play, but never got around to it. I have a budget of £150 which I know is not much but I wondered if anyone out there might know of anything I could get him? I've been to a few shops but they were all so expensive. Is it possible to buy a decent Guitar on this budget or am I reaching for the stars? Thank You

  There might be a reason why he has never gotten around to learning to play. It takes a commitment and a lot of time.. I think you are reaching for the stars for two reasons....1) you have enough money to buy "A" guitar... it is really difficult to play a cheap guitar for a beginner. The better the guitar, the easier it would be able to play... esp for a beginner. 2) Just because you buy him a guitar, even though he wants it, doesn't mean that he is ready to learn.... You have to be committed to learn, and if he's not ready to put the time in to learn and practice, then your gift will probably end up as a room ornament.
