Look here: Flute fingering chart: http://www.fluteinfo.com/Fingering_chart/modern.php Soprano recorder fingering chart (note that the fingerings on German recorders are different from the English ones!): http://www.recorder-fingerings.com/en/index.php Note that if your recorder is an alto recorder, it is in the different key (F) than either the soprano recorder or the normal flute, which both are in the key of C. That may explain your confusion!
