You can buy single strings. You can have a guitar center assist you with the services of actually putting the string on for you for a small fee, nothing outrageous.

Usually you have to buy an entire pack of strings, not just the one. So it just depends on how much the strings you want are. Usually they don't charge you to put the strings on. So if you're going to buy the entire pack anyway, they might as well replace all the strings.

Guitar Center will put the strings on your guitar for you if you purchase them there. I would recommend getting all new strings for the guitar if you even want to replace one. The different brands of strings don't always sound perfect when you miss match them together. I think that the Elixir brands sound really good on the acoustic guitars. They run 8-12$ for an entire set of strings if my memory is correct. Don't count on the guitar store staff to change you string, they work on commission and earn their money buy selling thing not doing favors for customers. But don't worry string are easy to change. However, we really need to know what kind of "axe" you have.

You must a buy a whole set of strings. 11mm or something. Because the string are you about to replace has to match all other ones. I suppose you don't know that brand or thickness of your strings. This is why you buy a whole set and replace all the strings. As for the cost; about 12 $, but this depends on brand.

um for just one strong (mine was the high E) it cost to replace was 40$. and i also got my guitar at guitar center and they do not put the string back on for some reason they will only sell the string to you.
