  • Answer:

Gender: female. age27 Social: I don't think there are different expectations when it comes to manners but only depending on the situation. If a couple were out in a restaurant, expectations would be the same. If there were out as a couple with say the males friends, things might differ in that the male would be expected to be a bit lary and boisterous where as the woman would not. Men and women definately achieve popularity differently. With woman its looks and sexuality/flirting. With men its looks and sports/ other accomplishments. Family: Boys and girls are treated differently by parents with regards to dating, and curricular activities. I was never allowed to climb trees, do karate or ice hockey as a child but my brother was. Also I had to wait til a later age to date. With regards to curfew, it was relevant to age rather then gender Movies: I think movies, commercials and tv (depending on the genre) all portray woman as very feminine soft sexual characters and men as strong masculine figures. Gender is very clearly defined. Other: I think teachers treat genders the same - they have no other choice because of the setting there in. Personal appearance matters to evryone regardless of if they agree or not.its how we judge people before we have spoken to them.
