What's the best book to read for first graders?

Twilight sucks ! whats all the fuss about ?

  • i couldnt find the twilight books anywhere in my country so i thought what the hell after all the amazing reviews i read about them..i should order them from Amazon anyways instead of ordering just the first 1 i bought all 3 and was completly disappointed after i finished reading the first 1 how she ( !warning! first book spoiler) passed out on the most crucial , interesting (atleast for me) scene i just couldnt believe it .. that was the climax and the only thing we knew about it was the "i took care of him" by Edward !! How ?! was it bloody ? ..do twilight vampires have blood ? anyways i thought since ive already bought the three hardcover books for atleast 70 $ i should read them to atleast improve my English so i read the second book which was much much better than the first but still alot of pointless meaningless stuff to fill out the pages (oh i have a hole in my chest blah blah oh i use my friends blah blah i dont deserve him blah ... ) is the third 1 any better?

    Wow 70 dollars wasted. No, the third one isn't better - it's worse. And you sure won't learn better English from reading it. I have no clue what the fuss is about. I agree with you. It sucks. Vampires DO have blood - if you are reading Bram Stoker or Anne Rice who followed the vampire legends of Carpathia pretty closely. However in Twilight, they have venom. And they sparkle in the sunlight. Pax-C

I bet you could trick some Twilight fangirl and sell the books for twice as much as you bought them for if they are in good condition. As for the third? Don't bother. Just go read the spoilers on the internet; those are more interesting than hearing Bella whine for another 350+ pages.

Their horrible and people only read them because of some kid in school that happened to be liked read them. I know how that went when I was in school. Everyone wants to be like the cool kid... well it's not as good as hundreds of other books. I wont even see the movie.

I know. It saddens me that this book is being hailed as "the next Harry Potter series." What the hell? At least Harry Potter appealed to almost everybody, and not just horny teenaged girls -- or horny middle-aged women, you know?! And, okay, absolutely nothing against Mormonism, but, well, it just seems like the author of Twilight took the stereotypical route and turned her heroine into this whiny lovesick brat, and it just rubs me the wrong way, because at least with Scarlett O'Hara you're not thinking of how her lack of personality might tie into some sexist offshoot of an often misinterpreted religion. But, whatever. It'll all blow over ... after Stephanie Meyer makes a gazillion bucks.

I would tie 'em up with a string and drag them along the road to watch the fangirls come running. Better yet, just glue the books to the sidewalk and count how many fangirls try and pick them up...then get mad at you for ruining the cover lol.

I know, I hate Twilight. Her books are not original and are not even close to being as good as Harry Potter. In my opnion, Harry Potter will be remembered, but sooner or later, Twilight will die off.

i liked the 2nd and the 3rd one. i HATE the 1st one! it was so lame, and i HATE edward. just read the third, you might find you like it. but sell the books to make some extra cash!

They're awful. You probably shouldn't even bother with the third one. I only continued reading them to keep abreast of modern culture...
