I need an idea for a short story.

I need help with a Short story Idea?

• Hey everyone, I have to write a short story and I have this idea but I just can't think of anything to add to it. Here it is: 17 year old Eve Emerson has an amazing talent for surfing, but she has one dream that she has always wanted to accomplish. This Dream is to enter the asp Women’s World Tour in Honolulu bay Hawaii. But there is one problem, she needs to get invited first. You see I live on and the Ocean and love the water and surfing (even though I am not that good) So please help I need ideas just help spark my imagination.

  Well she needs to have plenty of obstacles on her way to glory. Plenty of characters telling her she isn't good enough. Maybe a small accident before the big event (but not "unrealistic", like she has to win with a broken foot) I like the premise of this. Good luck!
