Good sites for teens?

Are there any good book sites that HAVE NOT been taken over by teens?

  • Okay look, I am 17 but my oh my do I despise young adult/teen books. I used to really love the website http://www.goodreads.com/ but it seems to have been taken over by the typical love crazy teens who have topped all the top book lists with Twilight and The Hunger Games and other assorted teen books mostly made up of something paranormal/dystopian/magical,something tragic and a love triangle. It's really starting to irritate me that I can't find a book site without an over abundance of half baked young adult books and an overflow of teens following around behind them raving over every love triangle and giving every "sexy" hero/anti-hero book 5 stars. Please help me, I feel like I'm drowning in a sea of crappy books. :)

    Im a teen and a Goodreads member and honestly speaking I dont know why other teens are dying in Twilight or Hunger Games, Hush Hush etc.. What I just put in my head is that those raging teens are not a real book readers. Why? Because some of teens just only read books if it is already made into films. I read almost all kinds of genre and subjects from Young Adult, Psychological Thrillers, Comedy, etc. Then also there are some well writen Young Adult novels just dont stereotype. Just try joining some clubs that has the same interest with you.

You dont need to call them crappy! I have read almost as many "YA" books as I have "adult" books. Why dont you go on one of the book seller website and join a contemporaty fiction or non fiction reading group. not every group is going to be YA. I think its awsome that young people are reading again :) no matter what it is. Dont be so bitter.

i think u should read ther hunger games because its a good book, u havent read it so dont say its bad a ton of ppl love it

What kind of books do you like? Why not get out of YA books and read adult books thats what I did and it's the best the I have ever done to be honest. Word to the wise broaden your horizon and don't be afraid to read a book that is totally different from your norm. Why not try Shakesphere or something like that. But what kind of books have you read in the past and telling one might help tell you an author or book.
