Victorian furniture from mid to late victorian period...?

can u give a brief description on victorian furniture from mid to late victorian period?
-
Answer:
It was ornate and heavy and clumpy, and dark colours were preferred. The early Victorian period was the very heaviest and clumpiest. From about 1870, London tastes started to lighten up under the influence of the "Arts and Crafts" movement, the designs of William Morris, the new London retailer Liberty and Company, and a fascination with anything in the Japanese style, but it took 10 or 20 years for these changes to reach the provinces and Scotland.
