Fantasy Football Keeper Question?

Fantasy Football Keeper question: Bulger, Norwood, or Fargas?

  • I need to turn in my 7 keepers in the next 4 weeks. My six keepers I have now set are: Romo AP (min) Chad Johnson D. Bowe Michael Turner Ronnie Brown Norwood was my front runner but I am thinking Bulger might not be bad keeper because he will more then likely rebound from this year and would be a great backup or trade bait. Fargas is a dark horse, but the Oakland back field is a mess with Rhodes and Bush in the mix also. Fargas is a free agent though. What are your thoughts?

  • Answer:

I think I would go with Bulger as you said trade bait and he was dealing with bad ribs most of the year, so he will definitely bounce back. He started to gain steam near the end. The Falcons will be just as bad as this past year and Dunn won't retire, so I wouldn't count on him too much. Either of those two wouldn't be a bad choice though.

I would go with Bulger. He plays in an offense with a LOT of weapons and most of them and himself battled injuries for most of the season. All they need is maybe one solid pickup for the offensive line and they could have a high powered offense like they have the past couple of season (before this year) and Bulger should have a 3,500+ yard season if all goes as planned. Norwood has not lived up to expecations. Even if Dunn wasn't there, he hasn't shown the ability to be even a decent starting running back. You have a lot of great players there. I don't know if you start one or two QB's, but even if it's only one, you had the right idea of making Bulger trade bait. The future looks bright for this team. Keep Bulger!

I would keep Bulger for sure. The Rams were injury prone this season was Bulgers only downfall. Expect him to pick it up next year, especially with them having the #2 overall draft pick (a certain LT from Michigan is coming to mind.) Fargas will certainly be a free agent this offseason and will be battling someone for a starting gig- but it wont be in Oakland. Norwood would be a solid choice, I have a feeling ATL will draft a QB in the draft and might rely on the running game more. Especially with a new coach, the Falcons might actually utilize the beast that is Jerious Norwood. Why don't you keep Bulger and Norwood and let Michael Turner go? Chances are he's going to be in the same boat as Justin Fargas- be on another team fighting for a roster spot, and most likely splitting carries....

bulger. he had a decent year this year, and the rams cant get any worse. norwood is iffy, great running back but on a bad team and thats never good. fargas will likely be released - even with the great season the raiders have invested too much in rhodes to let him go. deff bulger, ur gut move was the rite one. hope this helps, good luck.

Why did you keep Michael Turner? I have never played in a Keeper league, so I am not sure how it works, but I think you should get rid of Turner, and take Norwood and Bulger.

im not sure turner is the best option, unless he goes somewhere. I would rather have have norwood and bulger. than norwood and turner. but if i had to pick one, i would definitely keep norwood. this guy is so good, he just hasnt been given a fair shot to get some carries. given about 15 carries he can easily net you around 100 total yards/game.
