Trade Calvin Johnson?

NFL Fastasy: Trade Scenario- Should i trade calvin johnson/grossmen for steve smith?

  • Some guy has only 1 quarterback in a two qb league. I am tryign to do him a favor. I am trading him calvin johnson and the choice of rex, j.p or jason campbell and calvin for steve smith. I have : young, eli, jennings, calvin, and brandon marshal [ note i don't like drafting high wr's) and at rb i got LTTT, henry, mcgahee, and chester. { it is a 2 rb and 1 w/t league) . I also am thinking of packaging mike furrey in the deal perhaps . What doy uo think i should do. I am trying to get a good w/r

First of all, be honest with us and more importantly yourself, you are not "trying to do him a favor" by making a trade, you are trying to take advantage of his desperation for a second QB. Frankly, you can feel free to offer him calvin, furrey, and as many QBs as you want, but here are the facts: Calvin is likely going to hold out, and has not proven anything yet. Furrey is the Lions 3rd option, making him a pretty low ranking fantasy WR. Your league only starts one WR each week, so he is set with Steve Smith right now. As far as QBs go, you have crap. Vince Young might be pretty good for you, but Eli is NOT Peyton and will never come close. The 3 options you are offering him all need to prove themselves as decent QBs. If I was the other team, I would reject your trade because chances are a QB as good or better than what you are offering up can be found on the waiver wire, and losing Smith would be a huge hit to his team.

I would never take Calvin and Rex for Steve Smith....you're not doing him a favor giving Rex nor Calvin, since he isn't proven and has yet to sign his rookie contract. All of your Qb's that you are offering are trash...why would some1 trade Steve Smith round (2 and maybe 3) player for Calvin a 5th round at most and Rex, JP, Jason Campbell all round 9-11 Qbs. That is a joke of a trade...you're the type of fantasy players that make me laugh. Too bad if you win this year, it won't be because of your skill, but the clear advantage you of having the 1st overall pick. If you want a deal to happen, package one of your RB, obviously not LT, and Calvin.

id say leave furrey where he is. he gets a lot of receptions and a decent amount of yards. Calvin johnson is a gamble at this point, nobody know what hes going to end up doing with furrey and roy williams on the team too. I say trade him those two and maybe try to get another ok player with steve smith, unless you have excess people you need to get rid of.

Dude TF said everything I would of written. So don't feed us BS and don't feed yourself BS. You really want to help him out ask him what would be fair trade to him . Then haggle over the deal that's part of the fun. Good Luck with your conscience

Crappy deal. If you want it to happen give him Chester, Campbell, and Clavin for the BEST WR IN THE GAME!!! At least you can screw him and keep a semi clean conscious.
