Is Al Jefferson underrated?

Trying to Trade Al Jefferson for Mike Miller - Advice Needed?

  • Hey, I need to make a move and add a good shooting guard to my team and I think Mike Miller would fit in perfectly with his 3 point shooting and his overall game. Would trading Al Jefferson straight up for Miller in a Head to Head non-keeper league be a fair deal or would I need to add a secondary player like a Quentin Richardson or Andres Nocioni (assuming he comes back healthy this weekend). Would I need to incluce someone of higher value than either of those guys? Here is what my roster currently looks like: PG: Paul SG: Q. Rich G: Kidd SF: Josh Smith F: Millsap PF: KG C: B. Miller C: T. Chandler Util: A. Jefferson Util: R. Felton Util: D. West Bench: Kaman Bench: Bogut Bench: T. Murphy Bench: R. Gay Bench: Nocioni Bench: S. Blake This is a yahoo league that allows daily roster subs, so my bench does actually get used. Thanks for the help guys!

  • Answer:

yeah go head with the trade but if you really want a good team check out my team PG: steve nash SG:Tracy Mcgrady SF:Lebron James PF: Kevin Garnett or Dirk Nowitzki C:Shaq or Amare Stoudamire or Chris Webber those would be my startting line ups.

That seems like a fair trade straight up. Jefferson has been a great fantasy player this year. I think the only reason for that person not to accept the trade is that they don't need another forward on their team.

Sounds like a good deal for you & the other team as long as he needs some boards & blocks. I would not give him any other players.

that'd be okay if you're trying to get rid of Jefferson. What I would do is try to bunch felton and a guy like Nocioni or murphy. Felton gives out good assists but his FG% is below 40. Nocioni might have good value because he'll prolly get traded. If you trade one of your big bodies for a SG, you'll have a lot of little guys and not a lot of big guys. just a thought...

Take Miller this year, trust me, he is paying dividends for my team. He's one of the most accurate and prolific three point shooters out there, one your team could definitely use. It looks like you have a lot of other guys on the team who can rebound. With the trade, you sacrifice rebounds, but you gain in points, 3 pointers, assists, and free throws. Plus, look at the rankings. He is ranked much higher than Jefferson straight up. Miller would fit in well with your team.

u might need to trade more than just al jefferson to get miller. in yahoo his current overall rank is a 12 and he just came of i think a 40 pt night. So i would prly trade jefferson and maybe blake or someone to get him.
