Does mixing heavy squats with plyometrics bad when increasing my vertical jump?

What is the fastest/best way to increase my vertical jump?

  • I've seen a lot of programs online including "Jump Manual" claiming that if i follow the program i can increase my vertical jump by 8 - 14 inches. I'm 6ft tall with about a 28inch (natural) vertical jump and can barely dunk on a 10ft rim, but i can still dunk. I'm very physically fit and I've always been a natural jumper/sprinter but never had training on either of them. What exercises do you recommend to increase my vertical jump. Last season i did some plyometrics, stair running, weighted lunges, calf raises, and squats and i gained about 4 inches in 3 months but i know i could get way more. Please let me hear your recommendations and tips. Thanks Everyone!!!

  • Answer:

Get a vertical jump program, they have all the exercises to strengthen your legs. If you can't, it is pretty simple just look it up.
