MLB the show, roster update help?

I have a PS3, and i dont know how to update the most recent roster. If i go to the roster vault, theres a zillion rosters there, and i dont know the most recent update. If you could, i'd appreciate you telling me how to update it, what its under to update it, and if i'm even right by going into the roster vault. Also why doesn't the updated roster come out very often? Thanks for any help.

Answer:
Theres an option that says something like "download live roster" or something like that. Its not auto like last year.
