OK, who's played longer, Barry Bonds or Babe Ruth?

i think that Babe Ruth played longer, but that does not mean he is better. it is very likely that he did use steroids. also, a lot of baseball parks were longer and harder to hit a home run in. and, Babe Ruth was also a pretty good pitcher, which a lot of people don't know. that's something that bonds can't say. so all in all, the Babe played more games, but i think he is still better

How about the number of games per season, Babe Ruth played in far fewer games per season than Bonds. The Season was shorter when Ruth played the game. Really it is like comparing apples and oranges, you can't compare the two. Steroids, make the question even more impossible to answer.

Bonds played in more at bats and games. They both played until about the same age, but Ruth was still very good when he retired. The hit 3 homeruns in his last game. Ruth did NOT do steroids and if he did it wasn't sophisticated enough to do anything.

Ruth played in the majors for 22 years; for the first 4 or 5, though, he was primarily a pitcher, and his last year he only played a few games. Bonds is currently in his 21st major league season.
