Why will a solder patriot kill who ever he is ordered to kill with out question Why will he kill an iraqie today perhaps a frenchmen tommorrow a canadian next week and New York peace protester sunday if his goverment tells him they are now enemies of the state Why is he so ready to belive his goverment as to who the enemy is and kill whoever the goverment says is it all about brianwashing or is it just something about the character of a solder patriot that will make him kill who ever he is ordered to.

A soldier is expected to obey the dictates of his conscience. He has sworn an oat to obey the orders of his commanders , including the President. He is sworn to abide by the rules of engagement. He is a smart individual who is not swayed by the gibbering of Internet malcontents.

Because they are being obediant to the laws of his career. Whatever the reasons for him or her joining a forces, when going into any kind of situation they have to accept the downside to their job too. but from my husbands experience, its not many people who dont walk away with effects of such an act.

because he believes in what he fighting for. OR, its either kill or be killed in some cases. or it could be he enjoys it, or he is obedient and takes his work seriously, many minds do things for different reasons, there is no one reason, because not every mind is exactly alike

Because he is a soldier, and they taught them to do that. It's that simple. They are trained to kill, unfortunately. I can't understand what will do for their countries if they kill the innocent, and I hope that some of them have a moral issues with that. But they prepare them before they send them into the battle, in their military schools. They tell them: those people are our enemies, and also: always follow the orders. And they do that.

If he doesn't carry out orders he would be in breach of military law and liable to court martial. There is a degree of personal responsibility not to carry out illegal orders as per the Geneva Convention and to transgress is a war crime. The US however resists any attempts to hold it's troops responsible to this.
