It says: Without look at the periodic table , write the outer electron configuration for the Group 15 element in the fourth period. And then I need help with this one: What are the relationships between group configuration and group number for elements in the s, p, and d blocks? It's fine if you don't know both. I just need answer because it's due tomorrow.

Answer:
okay well periodic tables differ around the world so hopefully my answer should be right! atoms have 'electron' shells, of which follow the structure 2,8,8. meaning there can only ever be 2 electrons in the first shell, 8 in the second and 8 in the third. so for the fourth period in Group 15 the outer electron configuration would be 2,8,4 BECAUSE the number down the side relates to the number of electrons in the third shell :) hope that helped ha! sorry i'm not sure what s,p and d blocks are if you explain i will help x
