Is there a relation between average water temperature and over?

What is the average temperature of hot tap water/cold tap water/ice water?

  • I'm testing the reaction of some chemicals in water, but my thermometer seems to be wrong. In boiling water, it shows 72 degrees celcius. So if you could tell me the temperature of the above three water temperature in celcius, that would be very helpful. Thanks!

  • Answer:

boiling should be 100 degrees C obviously. My tap water is quite hot. It usually runs at about 85 C. My cold tap water is very cold, being in Minnesota. It runs less than 8 degrees C in the winter and probably about 15 in the summer. Ice water should be 0 C.
