Write a balanced net ionic equation for the following reaction?

Write the net ionic equation for the following reaction? make sure to include the states(s,l,aq,g) and oxidati

  • write the net ionic equation: include the states and oxidations states also.. Solutions of lead(II) nitrate and sulfuric acid are mixed

  • Answer:

    Pb(NO3)2(aq) + H2SO4(aq/l)[depending on concentration] --> PbSO4(s) + 2HNO3(aq) Pb2+(aq) + SO42-(aq) --> PbSO4(s) I don't see how an redox reaction could occur.

It's hard to do on the computer, but here goes... Pb(NO3)2(aq) + H2SO4(aq) = 2HNO3(aq) + PbSO4(s) Pb+2(aq) + 2NO3-(aq) + 2H+(aq) + S04-2(aq) = 2H+(aq) + 2NO3-(aq) + PbS04(s) then cancel everything... Pb+2(aq) + S04-2(aq) = PbS04(s) the +2 and -2 are the ox. numbers for Pb and S04.
