Over granulation of surgical wound?
-
I have a wound that has slightly over granulated. The nurse put trimovate cream onto it. Is this likely to work? Also does over granulation mean that the tissue has healed on the inside maybe even too well? Its a surgical wound that has mainly remained stitched but I have a little that opened dur to blood from the inside leaking which has stopped and a couple of pin prick size holes which im hoping will just heal over. Its my rectum that was removed!

Answer:
go back and speak to your specialist nurse, I promise you that she will be able to reassure you. No question after any type of surgery is daft - please go and ask - you will be glad that you did. Sorry to hear that you have been through such a tough time, get well soon.
