Ideas don't make money. Coming up with the idea is the easy part. Figuring out how to implement it and having the resources to implement it is the part that's worth money. Big companies not only have entire teams of experienced people to come up with ideas but they have the resources to test out the ideas to see if they are worth anything before putting them onto the market. Investing into an untested idea is a very risky proposition for an individual indeed! Investing in an education and getting a job is a much less risky investment. BTW copyrights are automatic; i.e., no need to pay a lawyer. Patents, on the other hand, require a lawyer.

If I were you, I would get the copywrite on the idea before I did anything else. Also, you should go to the library and make sure no one else has invented this idea before. I would call an attorney who deals with Intellectual Properties. Get all your questions ready to see if you can get a free initial consultation. Check to see how much they will charge and how much it will cost to actually get the copywrite. Then, after that, I'm not really sure. You could ask the attorney that deals with Intellectual Properties. They deal with inventions all the time. They may have some leads as far as where to take the idea to have it made and marketed.
