It makes perfect sense but sadly these wonders in most cases 'Were' and not 'Are'. btw You look down on the Bermuda Triangle. Shh- now you know. The Colossus at Rhodes (Destroyed by an earthquake) The Hanging Gardens of Babylon (They fell down) The Pyramids (Still there) and Yawn- Four others.

The original seven wonders are: The Colossus of Rhodes The Great Pyramid of Giza The Hanging Gardens of Babylon The Lighthouse of Alexandria The Mausoleum at Halicarnassus The Statue of Zeus at Olympia The Temple of Artemis at Ephesus There is no Bermuda Triangle. It's a hoax perpetrated by a book by Charles Berlitz.

When I was a kid, I was taught that the Seven Wonders of the World were: The Great Pyramids of Giza The Hanging Gardens of Babylon The Statue of Zeus at Olympia The Temple of Artemis The Mausoleum at Halicarnassus The Colossus of Rhodes The Lighthouse at Alexandria However, most of these are not in great condition, you can't really visit them - so how WONDERFUL are they, these days? Only the Pyramids are left standing - so now they call these the "Seven Wonders of the Ancient World" - A couple of years ago, there was a worldwide poll to determine a new list of Seven Wonders - the results were announced in 2007: Chichen Itza in Mexico The statue of Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro The Colosseum in Rome The Great Wall of China Machu Picchu in Peru Petra in Jordan The Taj Mahal in Agra, India

I believe those "7" change according to who it is you research it with. I saw a very interesting program on a "travel channel" reviewing about 20 places you should go before you die. You might want to Google that. I think that would be wonderful research. There are way more than 7 places in the earth that are wonders!
