In the past, when there's no tv, radio or internet, what did the people do to kill time?

when they were bored in the past, what did they do? i imagine life without computer, tv or radio a better place. i love all the great movies, but i don't know... sometimes i think it would be better without them

Answer:
they spent more time together. 'quality' time. in the home, and outside of the home. they also visited more. friends and family. kept in touch. i remember years ago when our tv broke. (we had no internet or video games) i didnt get enuf money to fix it for a month. i agree with you that things, more than likely, would be better. that was 30 consecutive days--out of a lifetime--that my son and i really had a really good time together.

Read a lot. They had to do a lot of work by hand.

They went outside and played! Even in my day, we were hooked to the TV even though we only had a couple of channels, and there were no TV or video games. But we spent a lot of time outside playing with all the kids in the neighbourhood. Anything from hide and seek, tag, skipping, "house", "war", to hockey, football and baseball. Winters, we built snowmen, igloos,snow-forts then had snowball fights, and went "sliding" or tobogganing.

They worked, they read books, they actually talked to each other (no texting), They played games. Try it, maybe you'll like it. They also spent a lot of time inventing things like computers, tv, radios.

When I was a kid I was poor. We had almost none of those things. We did not have air-conditioning, in the Arizona desert, so we spent our time outside. I rode my bicycle a lot. My friends and I explored on our bikes. Back then there was a lot of wide open space. There were gullies, dry riverbeds. etc. People often dumped old washers, dryers, TVs and stuff in the desert. We often loaded up our bicycles with tools. We took the old junk apart to see what make it "tick". That was our entertainment.
