Would masters in Industrial engineering be good?

Engineering Masters Degree?

• I'm studying chemical engineering. In what do you recommend me to do my masters degree? My counselor told me that you shouldn't do the masters degree in the same thing you did you bachelors degree in. She talked to me about industrial psychology, environmental chemistry... but I'm really confused.

• Answer:

  Do whatever you want to do it in. If you plan on doing R&D work related to chemical engineering, then I say do a masters in Chem Eng in the area you like. If you plan on working in a company and becoming part of the management team, then I would suggest doing something in commerce or law. If you're interested in environmental work, then do an enviromental engineering degree. I'm currently in my first semester of Masters in Chem Eng. I became interested in biotechnology while studying for my bachelor, so now I am doing a project with more of a biochem/biotech focus. In the end, it's more important to do what you like, than what other people think is better :)
