What are some good questions to ask on a interview. (Engineering Field)?

I get nervous when interviewing and I feel I never ask good questions. I will be interviewing for two different job positions at the same company. One position is for an A&E coordinator the other is for a Project Officer or Project Manager. These jobs are in the Engineering field. What are some good questions to ask during my interview?
Answer:

I'm an engineer, but I also help out with my organizations recruitment cycle. Simple questions: 1. Is there any travel required for this job, if so how much? 2. Does the company pay for me to work towards an advanced degree if I feel the need to pursue one? (Always ask this question even if you have a PhD) 3. The kinds of projects you will be working on and the budget that goes with it? (If your doing project management you have to ask this question) 4. If you don't already know what is the area the company is located in like? (Sounds stupid, but some companies are in rough neighborhoods) 5. If a clearance or extensive background check is required when can you receive the documents to fill out. (usually important in certain engineering fields) Good Luck

You can ask some technical questions regarding particular project. Reasons for leaving. Job description of previous company. Ask about Inventory management philosophy. It's good to ask about the working environment, "What's a typical day like?" or to show interest in staying with the company and being promoted. "What are some of the future oportunities that I can aim for?" Hope that helped!

With the economy being what it is - I would ask about their health benefit package, and 401 k plan. Do you have one? You'd be surprised how many company don't have one or the other. Good Luck!
