I invented something.

I think I've just invented something.....?

  • I think I've just invented something that is really cool but It may be already out or there maybe something like it already. How can I get someone to look at it to see If I really invented something? A legit person who won't steal my invention? How do I get a government patent for it?

  • Answer:

    Okay, the patent office no longer requires you build a sample. And, you can search prior patents to see if it's already been patented on the USPTO website. You can always get a patent lawyer and submit it, or submit it yourself. Mostly, right now, you should get a lab notebook and write it down and have the pages notarized to provide dated proof. Lest, that;s my take. I'm not a patent attorney.
