How can i improve my english knowledge?

• I can understand what people are saying. and also i can speak in english with my friends. but i am not able to speak infront of the group or with strangers.how can i overcome this problem. anyone pls help me. because speaking english is very important for my profession

  It seems that you have the common case of stage fear. There are many people who have this problem. They know they can speak well and make a point, but stepping out in front of people and doing it is a road -block for them. This is nothing to be ashamed of, and it can be solved easily. I have some suggestions which may sound silly, but these worked for my friend who had the same problem. Stand in front of a mirror and speak to yourself, imagining that there are a lot of people looking back at you from the mirror and not just your reflection. You say you can speak comfortably with your friends. Why don't you arrange them as a group and speak to them as if it were a presentation? Most of the people who have this fear are those who believe that if they speak out before strangers, they might be making a fool out of themselves!
