Where to learn Japanese?

Japanese. How hard? And where are the better places to learn it?

• Well. I have experience in learning a different language. Im taking Spanish. And I've had an A all year. Japanese will be harder to learn. I know that. But at least I have a feel for what it will be like learning another language. I want to master the Japanese language totally because that sorta has to do with one of my career options. Help?? How long would it take to learn the language? And I'm not wanting to learn it really fast. Just long enough for me to understand. I know what it means to speak politely to important people, friends, family, ect. So I think I could do it. But still I need help and information

  First I want to tell you that I took four years of spanish in high school and received an A in all four years. (maybe I should have written this in spanish for you). then I graduated and went to college now I'm taking japanese this is my first year of taking it... all I have to say is that it is nothing like spanish. you have to learn 3 ways of writing hiragana, katakana, and kanji. my teacher taught us hiragana in 3 days(46 symbols) our japanese program is intense most college level ones aren't as intense our teacher is just passionate about it. kanji is by far the hardest because there are a lot of them. But I would encourage you to do it because its very rewarding. it would take you awhile to learn the language especially if you are taking classes, if you only take japanese then you can devote all time to it which then you could learn it quicker...going to japan is the best way to learn it my friend who was one of the bottom students in our class went to japan and when she came back she was fluent or pretty close she was skipped to japanese 3. try it (ganbatte)
