I think if you answer "yes" it means "yes, you do mind being placed in a coed suite." If there is a space underneath the answer area and this is not being read by a scanner then I would write, NO COED dorm or COED OK.

as I matter of fact, I live in a co-ed suite on campus. No, they're basically asking you would you prefer to live in an environment with females and males living around you. I share a room with another girl but right next door to me is a guys' room. It's not bad, but I guarantee it's definitely interesting living in a co-ed environment...try it!

If you are asked "would you mind?" and answer "yes", you are saying yes, I do mind being in the co-ed suite. You should not be placed in a co-ed suite. If you answer "no", you are saying you don't mind being in a co-ed suite. Then you would be put in a co-ed suite.

YES means that you would NOT like to be placed in a co-ed suite, but I'm surprised that they would phrase the question like this. It seems that many people might be confused. As was suggested above, I would write in "Co-Ed OK" or "NO Co-Ed" to be clear.

yes means you would mind...ie you would not like to be placed in a coed suite....

If you say no, it means you don't mind, which means that it's okay with you if you live in coed dorm. If you say yes, it means you don't want to live in a coed dorm.
