    Not all Muslims of tamilnadu speak Urdu. 1. There is absolutely no reason all Muslims need to speak Urdu, it is not a holy language of muslims. Urdu is only a versions of hindi with lot of Persian words and written in Persian font to maintain its identity. 2. You may recall that Urdu Vs Bengali langauage was a reason for the split of Erstwhile Pakistan into Bangladesh and present Pakistan 3. Muslims of Kerala donot try to project a different identity as their counterparts in other states. 4. Many of Msulims of Kerala learn Arabic which equips them to learn Quran.
