I'm getting my son's footprints tattoo'd on me, and I wanted to get a quote/lyric around them that will describe my love for him, and how blessed/happy I am. I was going to get angel wings around it and say god protect him.. Hes been throught alot he was born with a cleft lip and palate and his last surgery he got a blood infection while in surgery and it took them 2 wks to find out what was wrong and he fought all of it all his own n now hes all better and running around.. but when i was pregnant for him they told me alot was wrong and i should have abortion cause he wouldnt breathe once after i had him and he dnt have a stomach.. I said no... u tell me how hes growing and kicking me.. and look hes here and hes my miracle baby...

    if you don't know what you want as far as quotes or lyrics go then you probobly should avoid that aspect of the tattoo. You can always add later, but what might sound great now might not be so great next week. Or you might just change your mind and find something on your own. I've seen a lot of foot print baby tattoos, not all of them look the same of course, but make sure that you get a good artist. Check out the tattoos on your artist and see how he takes care of his own art. Just seeing how someone cares for the art they wear..even if they didn't draw it or tattoo it says ALOT about the artist itself.

Considering how personal this tattoo seems to be, you should hold off on getting it until you think of something that is meaningful to you. The last thing you want to do is to regret what you chose once it is too late to remove it. It is well worth the extra time, you will appreciate it later.

Good for you! You and God knew better! :-) I read once that a ridiculous amount of babies are killed by abortions because of misdiagnosed things that aren't there...perfectly healthy babies. Guess that's why it is best to let GOD decide as He intended in the first place. Anyway, I love your idea of having your son's footprints tattoed on you. Maybe put them in a pair of large open hands and put "Forever In His Hands" underneath your son's name. Remember, you can always get the footprints done now and think of the verse/line and have it done later! Congrats on your miracle baby!!!!!

That's such a nice story. I'm glad your son survived and I wish him luck in his years to come. I don't have a quote for you, but I do have a bit of advice. It's probably something you already knew but, don't get he tattoo until you're completely sure of what you want since it'll be permanent. You want something that will always come to mind when you think of your son. Take your time. There's no rush, the tattoo shop will be there two days from now or even two weeks from now.

What a powerful story you two have. You are so lucky to have one another : ). I think when a parent gets a tattoo to commemorate their child/children is the utmost wisest kind of tattoo one could choose. After all, husbands, lovers, boyfriends, etc come and go just like the wind, as do fads and our personal desires, wants and cravings for a certain tattoo design that seem to appear one day to be very strong and gradually flee away. Children, i hope you can see why this is special because this mother to child bond is perpetual, like cement. The love your son and you share should be celebrated in this manner (getting a tattoo) , if this is what you truly feels right.
