  As you go through the game you face gyms. In the gyms are people you must face. Every gym has a gym leader and every gym has a unique type of pokemon e.g.grass, fire, water. After you have beaten the gym leader you are awarded a gym badge. There are eight gyms in the game. After you have all eight badges you can go into the pokemon league. In the pokemon league you must face 4 people called the elite four. They each have individual types of pokemon. The 1st person has grass type, the 2nd has rock, the 3rd has fire, and the 4th has psychic. After you have beaten the elite four you will face the champion cynthia. She has all different kinds of pokemon and they are not all the same type. After you have beaten the elite four and the champion you can go back to sandgem town and talk to proffessor Oak. He will give you the National pokedex which means you will be able to capture pokemon from other regions. If you want to cheat in this game you should buy an action replay. You can make all wild pokemon shiny and all pokemon you encounter at lvl 99.
