How to play a children's game detective or something like that?

my little brother is having a birthday party and i was assigned to find some games for him and his friends to play... i remembered a game that i played when i was small ... something like all the kids sit in a circle and someone as to assign each kid to be a detective, murderer and suspect by tapping on their head or something like that .... i forgot how to play the game and i wanted to know how to play it .... his birthday is REALLY soon so i need the instructions ASAP thanks so much

I do not know about tapping the head but I know a game similar. Tear four chits and write police on one and murderer on one and King on one and queen on one. Jumble it and each picks one chit. the police tries to find the murderer. If he finds he gets a share with the King and Queen. If he fails the murderer gets all the points.
