Can you tell me if you can use a PS1 memory card in a PS2 to save PS1 games on the PS2?

Hi! would you be able to use a PS1 memory card in a PS2? as my console does not recognise my PS2 memory card when i'm playing a PS1 game! Please no-one telling me how sad i am that i am playing PS1 games, i know already!!!!!! lol

yes you can just put your memory card in port 1 and go threw main screen settings.
