How do you catch lugia in pokemon soulsilver?

  • Ok i am getting pokemon soul silver in about a week (im also getting heart gold) and i want to know how to catch Lugia and ho-oh before i get the game. I have pokemon diamond and screwd up when it came to catching legendary pokemon so i want to know how to catch them in advanced. so if anyone has an early version and knows how to catch them let me know. also if you know how to catch any other legandary pokemon let me know

    Well first of all, you need to obtain the Silver Wing, which is obtained after a certain event with Team Rocket. It's part of the story so don't worry about passing up on it. Then you need to have met all of the Kimono girls, which they are needed to summon Lugia. After receiving the Silver Wing and meeting the Kimono girls, head to Whirl Islands and navigate through the end, which a cutscene takes place and shortly afterwards, you fight Lugia. I would bring plenty of Ultra Balls and a Pokemon or two that can induce sleep or paralysis on Lugia, to make things slightly easier. If you're impatient then you can use the Master Ball, but you can only obtain it by Prof. Elm, which is only after you have all 8 badges. I would recommend saving the Master Ball for one of the roaming Pokemon in Johto.

You have to get the Silver Wing (from the Radio Tower, as before). However, unlike in the original games, there's another requirement. You need to meet every one of the Kimono Girls (I don't remember where they all are, though I believe the last one is in the Ice path), since they need to be at the Whirl Islands for the ritual to summon Lugia.
