Is Russia a developed country?

• Is Russia a developed, developing or third world country? Moscow has more billionaires than any other city in the world. Russians achievement in outer space and weapon technology are on par if not equal with the United States. They are a member of G8 nations. But their GDP Per Capita is about 50th in the world. The only cities that one might consider metropolitan are Moscow and St. Petersburg. Living condition outside the 2 major cities looks like 3rd world country, So, in balance, is Russia a developed country?

  No. It was once a communist country. Technically, former communist countries are poor, since that communist party leaders like to squander on the wealth of their country. So, in a sense, Russia is a developing country, but a better developing country like India and China.
