What degrees would a future marine biologist need?
-
I was wondering what you would major in/what degrees you should earn if you would like to be a marine biologist, or something in that category.
-
Answer:
Probably a Masters in Marine Biology, or another choice could be a PhD in Biology where you could branch off into marine biology through some sandwich year course or specification routes.

technically speaking you don't NEED a degree but it's hard to get the grants, publications, employment etc if you aren't formally accredited... a master's in marine bio would be pretty minimal, a Ph. D. would be best
