What Is Ecology?

What kind of feeling do most applicants for ecology and evolution biology generally have?

• I know there exists a big gap between eastern and western countries conserning the academic term of Ecology, and usually there is little chance for a Chinese student to be admitted for that graduate program of many US universities. But still, I wanna have a try, coz I love EEB! So, I wanna know what makes those who have been a part of EEB succeed? And what can make me more competitive when I apply for it?

  The way I see it ( for not knowing who you are), your passion and love of the subject is more that enough to qualify you as an applicant. Obviously, your current academic background and grade level will play a big part in which school you will get in. If you are truely passonate about the subject matter, you will need to show it through an application essay to convince them. A good concise essay can go a long way in getting your admission.
