What is the most effective way to protect yourself from Cell Phone EMF Radiation?? (besides not using them)?
-
I read this from www.purehealthpatch.com (under the research section....) "Cell phones damage DNA. Aulterra research demonstrated that cell phone radiation causes a characteristic change in the shape of the DNA helix as measured with a photometer. This effect was repeated and confirmed using cell phones from different manufacturers. Similar effects were seen whether the phone was actively transmitting or in standby mode." "Cell phones disrupt the bioelectricity in the body which can be measured by several devices which apply a weak current to the body and measure the immediate response. " "Cell phones increase the temperature of the brain as measured using thermography" Sounds very scary to me....since I let my children use cell phones :(

Answer:
Yes, that's true, but the radiation you get from a cellphone is so low it wouldn't have any real short or long-term effect on you. There's no way to sheild yourself from it except for a lead or gold mesh. lead will be a hundred times more harmful to you, and gold is too expensive.

Radio photons (radio waves) do not have enough energy to blast a DNA molecule apart, creating a genetic error (which causes cancer). A radio photon has far less energy than a visible light photon, and visible light photons don't have enough energy to damage DNA, either. You have to go higher up the electromagnetic spectrum, up to high-end ultraviolet rays (UV-B), x-rays, and gamma rays before a photon has enough energy to blast a DNA molecule apart and cause cancer. Unless cell phones start emitting x-rays and gamma rays, your DNA is safe. It is obvious to me that the website you linked to is simply trying to create fear (using faked scientific results) in order to convince you that you need a useless product. Don't fall prey to this tactic.

Actually to be honest......I'm nervous myself about radiation from various electronics especially cell phones. I have no research to back up my opinion but then again....you can't rule out the possibility of radiation from cell phone sources. Looking at it from a layman's point of view (since i have no educational background with electronics and the physics behind it).......if computers...TVs and microwaves emit radiation.........wouldn't cellular phones also be emitting radiation??

Lithiumdeuteride is absolutely right. It might be someone that is doing unrealistic tests and hopping to fool a jury or harass AT&T.

That website looks seriously suspect. But to be safe you should buy one of their lead suits. (Just kidding..)
